Freeport Bakery: Sacramento's Beloved Custom Cake Destination

Called Freeport Bakery last minute and talked with Kelly. I needed an edible image cake in two days, it usually takes them five. I was unsure if I’d be able to have it in time, but Kelly and the team here were able to get it done in time. The cake came out PERFECT. I didn’t know what flavor my friend would like so I decided fudge and actually found out after ordering that he’s not a fan of cake because it’s too rich (oh well, too late). I called back and asked if we could switch the flavor to something lighter, and Kelly was able to help me decide on a fruit mix cake which was amazing. Very grateful for the staff here for working with me and making this so easy

A very nice and quaint spot to have a quick and small breakfast, at least if you're in the mood for pastries. I had ordered a cheese danish, croissant, and chocolate chip cookie, and all 3 were far from being disappointments. It did take quite some time for my hot chocolate to be made, and they didn't appear to be too busy during the time we came in. Definitely recommend popping in for a pastry or 2.

After all the time I've lived in and/or around the Sacramento Valley, this was my first visit to Freeport Bakery!!! Yes, my first. And, they did an awesome job with my parent's 60th Anniversary cake . . . It looked great and tasted even better! We went with the Fleur-de-lis Cake. I will definitely be back to enjoy a yummy cup of coffee and one of the many yummy pastries.

We arrived shortly before they were closing and it was pretty busy. The entrance and ordering space not very big so it felt very closterphobic trying to look at the options and order with all the people crowded there. I was unable to get to the cake selection to see, so I will go back when it's less crowded for that. We got some adorable and delicious fall cupcakes and a dozen peanut butter cookies. I would have probably ordered more cookies in more flavors but I really felt hurried and pushed so didn't have much time to annually look at all that was offered in the case. Everything we got was super yummy, and I loved the cookies. They were perfect in texture and thickness. And the cupcakes not only looked great but smelled amazing.

Just look at this place. A great place to visit for a breakfast bite. What surrounds this place makes it a welcoming place to visit. From the scene to other stores and restaurants around it. Very convenient off the freeway and downtown Sacramento. Thank you

This bakery has so many yummy items to choose from. My family and I have been a fan for many years. I think I have tried just about everything here. The pics are some of my favorite items. I love the almond flour fruit basket cake, it is my fave of all and very moist. They have some vegan options too. My office is so very grateful when I pick up their pastries for work. The staff is very welcoming and helpful! Thank you Pria for going above and beyond! An exceptional experience is always had whenever I stop by for a sugar rush.

Adorable place, you feel kinda at home! That old screen door when you walked in brought back so many memories , but forget that- the pastries! Geez , lots of colors, bright and bold desserts . Homemade pies!

I heard good things about this bakery so it was the perfect place to grab a dessert after my lunch. I visited on Sunday noon around 1:30pm and there was a short line. As soon as I entered the bakery, it smelled so delicious! They sell variety of pastry, cookies, cakes, and drinks. I bought an almond croissant and it was good. The filling had the perfect sweetness. The croissant was a bit soft but could be baked a little more so that it could be crunchier crust.
